How can community-owned businesses contribute to high street regeneration

Monday 11 March 2024

At 10.45am on Tuesday 12 March 2024, the House of Lords Built Environment Committee, as part of its inquiry on high streets in towns and small cities, will be hearing evidence from:

  • Josh Westerling, Policy Manager, Power to Change
  • David Moynihan, Head of Services, Locality.

This session, which is open to the public, will be held in Committee Room 1 of the House of Lords and streamed live and on demand on Parliament TV.

During this session, the committee will ask questions about how community owned businesses operate and can be supported. This will include what the role of the community is in addressing issues such as vacancies and how they can improve high streets. It will consider whether community ownership is a financially sustainable model and what the role of Government is in supporting it.
