Lords methane inquiry focuses on international comparisons

The House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee will continue its inquiry into methane by focussing on international comparisons and the level of international coordination on methane mitigation.
The session will take place on Wednesday 8 May from 10am. It can be followed live or afterwards on Parliament TV or in person in the Palace of Westminster (committee room 3).
Giving evidence from 10am will be:
- Steven Hamburg, Chief Scientist, Environmental Defense Fund;
- Liam Hardy, Senior Policy Analyst, Green Alliance;
- Kim O’Dowd, Climate Campaigner, Environmental Investigation Agency.
Questions from the committee will cover the following areas:
- The UK’s existing international commitments;
- Research and policy diplomacy;
- Trade policy;
- Lessons learnt from elsewhere.
