Northern Ireland minister Karen Bradley to face Lords questions on Brexit and UK-Ireland relations
The House of Lords EU Committee will tomorrow take evidence from Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Karen Bradley MP and Robin Walker MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department for Exiting the European Union, as part of its follow-up inquiry on Brexit and UK-Irish relations.
The Committee will ask the witnesses how negotiations regarding Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland will be taken forward in stage two of the Brexit negotiations, how the Government envisages ‘technology based solutions' will help manage the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland after Brexit, how the ongoing suspension of the power sharing institutions in Northern Ireland is affecting the process, and the steps the UK Government is taking to ensure the interests of all communities are represented.
The evidence session will start at 16:15 on Tuesday 23 January in Committee Room 3 of the House of Lords.
