How can Lords committees help Parliament make better laws?
The House of Lords Liaison Committee will this week take evidence from The Law Commission and the Law Societies of England and Wales and Scotland as part of its review of the House of Lords committee structure.
The Committee will question the witnesses on how Lords committees examine legislation both before and after it becomes law, the role committees can play in building links between Westminster and the devolved institutions and the role Parliamentary committees can play in Law Commission Consolidation Bills.
The evidence sessions will be held on Wednesday 13 June in Committee Room 3A of the House of Lords. The full details of the witnesses are:
