At 3.30pm the Committee will question:

  • Suzannah Nichol, CEO, Build UK

  • Dr Diana Montgomery, Chief Executive, Construction Products Association

At 4.30pm the Committee will hear from:

  • Andrew Wolstenholme OBE, Co-Chair, Construction Leadership Council, Former CEO, Crossrail

Questions the Committee are likely to ask include:

  • Why is there no wider uptake of off-site manufacture for construction?
  • What types of skills are needed to facilitate a move to off-site manufacture? How do these differ from traditional construction skills?
  • How can companies in the construction sector be encouraged to collaborate and work together to facilitate the wider use of off-site manufacture?

The evidence session will begin at 3.30pm in Committee Room 3 of the House of Lords.
