A tale of two unions - Lords EU committee to report on Brexit and devolution in the UK
The House of Lords EU Committee will publish its report on the impact of Brexit on the UK's devolution settlements on Wednesday 19 July.
The Committee, which has been looking at the possible impact of Brexit on the devolved nations of the UK since February, will identify this as one of the most complicated and contentious elements of the Brexit debate.
The Committee have heard evidence from a range of witnesses for the inquiry including representatives of the Scottish and Welsh Governments, Lord Alderdice (former Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly), Lord Trimble (former First Minister of Northern Ireland) and Mark Durkan MP (former deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland), Lord McConnell (former First Minister of Scotland), and former Secretaries of State Lord Hain and Lord Hunt of Wirral, and former leader of Plaid Cymru Lord Wigley
Embargoed copies of the report will be available to the media on Tuesday 18 July. The report will be strictly embargoed until 00:01 on Wednesday 19 July.
