What does British Citizenship mean? Lords appoint new committee on Citizenship and Civic Engagement

The House of Lords has today appointed a new Committee on Citizenship and Civic Engagement.

The Committee will be chaired by Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbotts.

The Committee has been appointed to examine the concept of British citizenship, and to look into the ways in which society as a whole can be unified, and how people can be encouraged to integrate and work together. It will report by 31 March 2018. It expects to publish a call for evidence before the summer recess.
