Lords Economic Affairs Committee publishes written evidence

Nearly 90 pieces of written evidence accepted into the Committee's inquiry into the economics of higher, further and technical education

The House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee has published the written evidence it has received in response to its call for evidence on higher, further and technical education. The Committee is investigating how post-school education is funded and whether it is focused sufficiently on the skills which the British economy requires.

The former Minister for Universities and Science Lord Willetts, the National Union of Students, London South Bank University, University of Cambridge and the Church of England's Education Office are among the contributors who have had their submissions accepted by the Committee.

Students and business representatives also wrote to the Committee with their views. Users of the Money Saving Expert and Student Room websites were also invited to give their opinions using these sites' popular forums.
