MPs took part in an emergency debate on Parliamentary approval of military action overseas.
MPs voted 317 to 256 to approve the motion "That this House has considered Parliament’s rights in relation to the approval of military action by British Forces overseas" (Division 137). The Leader of the Opposition invited Members to vote against the motion, to express dissatisfaction with the Government’s response and assert the rights of Parliament.
