Margot James, Minister for Digital and the Creative Industries, made a statement on 26 April in the House of Commons on an artificial intelligence sector deal.

The Minister told the House that this deal "is only the start of UK plans to seize the opportunities of modern technology and to ensure that it follows the highest ethical standards".

Responding on behalf of the Opposition, shadow minister Liam Byrne said that science spend should increase to 3% of GDP.
