The Secretary of State for International Development, Penny Mordaunt, made a statement updating the House of Commons on Syria.

In her statement, Penny Mordaunt who said that there can be no military solution to the Syrian civil war, and that the Assad regime risks a pyrrhic victory unless it and its backers engage in a genuine political process.

This was responded to by Kate Osamor, who asked why the Government can prioritise targets to remove people from this country, and not able to hit a simple target to let in a handful of refugee children from countries such as Syria.
