This week in the House of Commons, MPs debated Windrush, school funding and more.
Legislation: Government Bills
Rating (Property in Common Occupation) and Council Tax (Empty Dwellings) Bill
The Rating (Property in Common Occupation) and Council Tax (Empty Dwellings) Bill had its Second Reading in the Commons on Monday 23 April. It will now progress to a Public Bill Committee.
Financial Guidance and Claims Bill
The Financial Guidance and Claims Bill had its remaining Commons stages on Tuesday 24 April. The Bill passed its Third Reading with amendments so will now return to the House of Lords for further consideration.
Legislation: Private Members' Bills
Two Private Members' Bills were introduced to the House following Ten Minute Rule Motions this week:
On Friday 27 April, MPs debated the remaining stages of the Assaults on Emergency Workers (Offences) Bill, which passed its Third Reading without a division. The Employment and Workers' Rights Bill started Second Reading debate but was adjourned.

Opposition day debates
On Wednesday 25 April, MPs debated school funding in the House of Commons, in the first of two debates to take place on subjects chosen by the Opposition. The second Opposition debate was on social care.
Backbench business debates
On Thursday 26 April, in the Commons Chamber, MPs took part in a general debate scheduled by the Backbench Business Committee
