Attorney General questioned on Brexit legal advice

Attorney General, Geoffrey Cox, will make a statement in the House of Commons on the legal position of the Withdrawal Agreement.
Following an Opposition Day debate on 13 November 2018, a humble address was passed unopposed in the Commons that called on the Government to publish the full legal advice they have received on the Withdrawal Agreement.
The Opposition has since claimed that the Government has failed to fulfil their obligations in publishing this advice, although this has been disputed by the Government on the basis that this statement satisfies the requirements of the original Opposition Day motion.
Brexit Secretary Stephen Barclay confirmed in a written statement on Wednesday 29 November that a,
"document, setting out the Government's legal position on the proposed Withdrawal Agreement, is expected to be published on Monday 3 December. The Attorney General will also make an oral statement to the House of Commons on Monday 3 December."
