Foreign Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, updated the House of Commons on recent events in Yemen.

Following the recent UN-negotiated ceasefire in Yemen, Foreign Secretary, Jeremy Hunt, updated MPs on the situation. He told the House of Commons that the situation in Yemen was a "man-made calamity", and that more than 85% of those living in Yemen needed help. He urged people to come to the negotiating table and stressed the need for peace talks and a political settlement.

Shadow Foreign Secretary, Emily Thornberry, responded on behalf of the Opposition and used her time to ask the Foreign Secretary about the next steps in this process. She asked him what the position of the United States was on this issue, and how the security operation on the ground in Yemen would be staffed.
