Shadow Foreign Secretary, Emily Thornberry, asked an Urgent Question in the House of Commons on the border arrangements between Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.

The question was responded to by the Minister for the Cabinet Office and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, Mr David Lidington, who claimed the Government have been consistent in their commitments to Northern Ireland as the United Kingdom leaves the European Union.
