Labour MP Luciana Berger, who sits on the Health and Social Care Committee, asked an Urgent Question on the Care Quality Commission report on the Mental Health Act.

The question was responded to by the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health, Jackie Doyle-Price, who claimed that the CQC’s report found examples of good practice, but recognised that more needs to be done to ensure that people’s voices are heard and their rights respected.
