Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation and Liability for Housing Standards) Bill
This Bill, sponsored by Karen Buck MP, aims to help drive up standards in the private and social rented sectors by putting an obligation on landlords to keep their property in good condition and giving tenants the right to take legal action where their landlord fails to do so.
Stalking Protection Bill
This Bill, sponsored by Dr Sarah Wollaston MP, aims to create a new civil Stalking Protection Order to protect members of the public from risks associated with stalking.
School Holidays (Meals and Activities) Bill
This Bill, sponsored by Frank Field MP, aims to require local authorities to facilitate the delivery of programmes that provide free meals and activities for children during school holidays

About Private Members’ Bills
Private Members' Bills are Public Bills introduced by MPs and Lords who are not government ministers.
As with other Public Bills, their purpose is to change the law as it applies to the general population.
A minority of Private Members' Bills become law but, by creating publicity around an issue, they may affect legislation indirectly.
