On 18 July the House of Commons debated amendments to the Trade Bill. The Bill passed its third reading with amendments and will now be considered by the House of Lords.

The Trade Bill 2017-19

Summary of the Bill

The Trade Bill is intended to enable the UK to replicate current trade agreements that the UK is party to as a member of the European Union, following Brexit. It would also set up a Trade Remedies Authority to advise the Government on trade remedies.
