Statement on relationships and sex education: 19 July 2018

Education Secretary, Damian Hinds, made a statement to the House of Commons on 19 July 2018 on relationships and sex education.
The Secretary of State was announcing the opening of a consultation on the Government's proposals for relationships education, relationships and sex education, and health education, which he called, "an historic step in education that will help to equip children and young people with the knowledge and support that they need to form healthy relationships, lead healthy lives, and be safe and happy in modern Britain".
The Shadow Education Secretary Angela Rayner responded on behalf of the Opposition.
