Statement on space policy: 18 July 2018

The Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation, Sam Gyimah, made a statement to the House of Commons on 18 July 2018 on the Government's space policy.

Gyimah told the House, "The Government are determined that UK companies are at the forefront of this space revolution, and our economy and the people of this country all benefit".

Shadow Minister Chi Onwurah welcomed the investment in the UK space sector, but said that "the entire country should benefit from the amazing opportunities posed by space".
