The Government has published the EU Exit: Future Relationship White Paper.

The new Secretary of State for Exiting the EU, Dominic Raab, delivered a statement to the Commons outlining the Government's plans for Britain's future relationship with the EU.

Raab was appointed as the new Brexit Secretary following the resignation of David Davis. Davis resigned after disagreeing with the Brexit policy outlined at the Cabinet away day at Chequers on 6 July.

The statement was responded to by Kier Starmer, who questioned the Secretary of State on "why the Government think it appropriate to share the White Paper in full with journalists at 9 am today... and only to provide the Opposition with a copy three hours later?"
