Urgent question on policing during Trump visit: 12 July 2018

Shadow Home Office Minister, Louise Haigh, asked an urgent question in the House of Commons on policing during Donald Trump's visit to the UK.
Louise Haigh asked if the Minister was satisfied that the policing system is resilient enough to cope with the additional demand for officers and how additional policing costs incurred by the visit would be met.
Minister for Policing, Nick Hurd, told the Commons that costs would be met by a special grant and that he had been assured that resources were sufficient to provide effective security.
