Labour MP, Richard Burden, asked urgent question in the House of Commons on 4 July 2018. His question was on the imminent demolition of Khan al-Ahmar.

The question was responded to by the Minister for the Middle East, Alistair Burt, who stated that "while we have not yet witnessed any demolition of structures, it would appear that demolition is imminent." He went on to say that the Government "deeply regret this turn of events."

Richard Burdon further probed the Government by asking if it was "not time finally to outlaw commercial dealings by UK firms with illegal settlements in the west bank?"
