Debate on the Lords amendments to the Ivory Bill was opened by the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Dr Thérèse Coffey.

The House of Commons agreed to all Lords amendments to this Bill, 1 - 78, without a division.

Summary of the Bill

The purpose of the Bill is to prohibit commercial activities concerning ivory in the UK and the import and re-export of ivory for commercial purposes to and from the UK, including intra-EU trade to and from the UK.
