On Monday 4 June 2018 Greg Clark, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, made a statement to the House of Commons on the proposed Wylfa Newydd nuclear power plant.

The minister announced that the Government has decided to enter into negotiations with Hitachi about the proposed Wylfa Newydd power station at Anglesey in North Wales.
