Statement on rail timetabling: 4 June 2018

On Monday 4 June 2018 Transport Secretary, Chris Grayling, made a statement to the Commons on changes to rail timetabling.
The minister updated MPs on disruption arising from recent changes to rail timetables and announced that an inquiry would be set up to investigate the implementation of the new timetables. The final report will be published by the Office of Rail Regulation by the end of the year.
Shadow Secretary of State for Transport, Andy McDonald, responded to the statement saying that the Department for Transport has not held rail companies to account for not fulfilling their contracts.
