Urgent question on abortion in Northern Ireland

Labour MP Stella Creasy asked an urgent question in the House of Commons on 7 June 2018 on the Supreme Court decision on abortion in Northern Ireland.
Creasy told the House:
"The Secretary of State has the power to direct Northern Irish Departments to take such action that is required under international obligations. Human rights are an international obligation. Minister, I beg of you, do not make a victim go to court. Name the date that the domestic abuse Bill will come to Parliament, so that we can get on and end this scandal."
In response, Northern Ireland Secretary Karen Bradley said, "The Government’s view is that the decisions about abortion and the laws that apply in Northern Ireland should rightly and properly be decided by the people of Northern Ireland and their elected politicians".
