Andrew Griffiths, Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, made a statement on corporate governance.

Andrew Griffiths stated that the Government had announced a number of reforms to strengthen the corporate governance framework in relation to executive pay, the voice of employees and wider stakeholders in the boardroom, and corporate governance in large privately held businesses. He added that these are all now being delivered.

The statement was responded to by Laura Pidcock MP, who claimed the Government appear to be consulting, rather than acting, and asked if the Government agree that it is time for action, not consultation.
