Urgent Question on hate crime: 12 March 2018

Bolton South East MP Yasmin Qureshi, asked an Urgent Question on hate crime in the light of inflammatory letters inciting a "Punish a Muslim Day" on 3 April 2018.
The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Home Department, Victoria Atkins, responded on behalf of the Government and stated that the letters in question were part of an ongoing investigation and was unable to comment on them and that UK Government had a robust legislative framework to respond to Islamophobia and hate crime.
