Labour MP, Richard Burden asked an urgent question on the UK Government abstention on the UN human rights council vote on Gaza.

The question was responded to by the Minister for the Middle East, Alistair Burt, who claimed "the substance of the resolution the Government abstained on was not impartial and was unbalanced. He went on to say the Government could not support an investigation that refused to explicitly examine the action of non-state actors such as Hamas"

Richard Burden "put it to Minister that the Government’s feeble response to last week’s events in Gaza only encourages the culture of impunity that the Government of Israel too regularly display these days."
