Shadow Secretary of State for Housing, John Healey, asked an urgent question on tower blocks with dangerous cladding, today in the House of Commons.
The question was responded to by the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, James Brokenshire, who informed the House that "the Prime Minister announced that the Government will fully fund the removal and replacement of potentially dangerous aluminium composite material—ACM—cladding on buildings owned by social landlords, with costs estimated at £400 million."
In return, John Healey claimed that "the Government have been off the pace at every stage since the fire."
