22 May 2018 (updated on 22 May 2018)
Neil Parish, Chair of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee asked an Urgent Question on transport emissions in urban areas.
The question was responded to by the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Michael Gove, who stated that "emissions have fallen consistently since 2010, and my predecessors in this role are to be commended for the action that they have taken, but today’s strategy marks the most ambitious steps yet to accelerate our progress towards cleaner air."
Neil Parish replied that although he welcomed the publishing of the strategy, he was "concerned that the strategy is not as wide-ranging as it could be."
