Urgent Question: money resolutions for Private Members' Bills

Afzal Khan, asked an Urgent Question in the House of Commons on the Government’s policy on introducing money resolutions for Private Members' Bills.
The question was responded to by Andrea Leadsom, who stated that the financial initiative of the Crown is a long-standing constitutional principle which means it is for the Government of the day to initiate financial resolutions.
Afzal Khan replied that believed the actions of the Government are deeply undemocratic.
