This week in the Commons, MPs had two days' debate on the Finance (No.3) Bill in a committee of the whole House. They also debated the second reading of the Fisheries bill, the Armed Forces Covenant and the remaining stages of two Private Member's Bills. The Prime Minister also made a statement about Brexit negotiations.
Legislation
Finance (No.3) Bill
Certain parts of the Bill, and certain new Clauses and new Schedules were considered in a Committee of the Whole House. On the first day (Monday 19 November), there were divisions on six opposition amendments but none were successful. On the second day (Tuesday 20), several new amendments were approved without division. The Finance (No. 3) Bill will now be scrutinised by the Public Bills Committee.

Fisheries Bill
The second reading of this Bill was debated on Wednesday 21 November 2018. This Bill sets out a new framework for UK fisheries after Brexit. It passed second reading without a division.
Legislation: Private Members Bills
This week, two Private Members' Bills were introduced to the House following Ten Minute Rule Motions:
On Friday 23 November, two Private Member's Bills had their remaining stages in the Commons Chamber.
The Voter Registration Bill began its second reading but has been suspended to a later date.
