28 November 2018
Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell asked an urgent question about the economic analyses of Brexit outcomes that was recently published by the Government.
McDonnell criticised Chancellor Philip Hammond for not responding to the urgent question; "the least that we could expect is, instead of touring the broadcast studios, the Chancellor himself would be here to present an oral statement".
Mel Stride, Financial Secretary to the Treasury defended the deal that the Prime Minister has negotiated and the economic analyses that the Treasury has published.
