MPs ask about the cost of Brexit

John Redwood, Conservative MP for Wokingham, asked an urgent question in the House of Commons on the cost of staying in EU Customs Union and the cost of the draft withdrawal agreement.
Following the Government's ongoing exit negotiations with the European Union, Mr Redwood asked the Government to state the additional cost of staying in the customs union, and give an updated estimate of the total cost of the current draft of the withdrawal agreement.
The question was responded to by Treasury Minister John Glen who stated that "in December, we estimated the size of the [withdrawal agreement] settlement to be between £35-39 billion, using reasonable assumptions and publicly available data."
