Minister of State for Energy and Clean Growth, Claire Perry, made a statement to the House of Commons on Green GB Week and clean growth.

Green GB Week is a new initiative from the Government, which it describes as "an annual week designed to highlight the opportunities clean growth offers the UK and raise understanding of how business and the public can contribute to tackling climate change".

Debate was opened by Claire Perry, who claimed the "international determination to address climate change and deliver a cleaner future is one of the facts of our time and one of our greatest opportunities."

This statement was responded to by Rebecca Long Bailey on behalf of the Opposition. She challenged the Government on investment in renewable energy and claimed that "this Government and the last have sadly overseen a collapse in investment in energy efficiency."
