Lord Bourne of Aberystwyth (Conservative), parliamentary under-secretary in the Department for Housing, Communities and Local Government, opened the debate on the bill and responded on behalf of the government.

Members discussed a range of issues highlighted by the bill, including support for councils to keep facilities open, current lack of facilities and disabled access.

Non-Domestic Rating (Public Lavatories) Bill summary

This bill aims to introduce a 100% mandatory business rates relief for public lavatories.
