This week in the House of Commons Prime Minister Boris Johnson addressed the House for the first time, MPs debated abortion, British Steel, body image and mental heal, and more.
Legislation: Government Bills
Non-Domestic Rating (Lists) Bill: Commons stages
The Bill passed its report stage and third reading in the House of Commons on 22 July 2019 and will be considered by the House of Lords on 10 September 2019.
Kew Gardens (Leases) (No. 3): Commons stages
The Kew Gardens (Leases) (No. 3) was considered in Legislative Grand Committee and passed it's third reading on 24 July 2019. The Bill will now be sent for Royal Assent.

Two Private Members Bills were introduced to the House following Ten Minute Rule Motions this week:
Urgent questions and ministerial statements
This week the Speaker granted nine urgent questions:
- Urgent question after violence in Hong Kong
- Urgent question on treatment for Batten disease
- Urgent question on pensions for severely disabled victims in Northern Ireland
- Urgent question on Personal Independent Payments
- Ministers questioned about decriminalisation of abortion
- Urgent question on the future of British Steel
- Ministers questined on historical abuse in Northern Ireland
- Urgent question as inspector demands immediate improvement at Feltham YOI
- APPG Chairman questions Government on overseas students and TOEIC
There were four oral ministerial statements this week:
- Government statement on situation in the Gulf
- Government statement updates MPs on Universal Credit managed migration
- Government statement on telecoms supply chain review
- Prime Minister Boris Johnson's statement on priorities for Government
Prime Minister's Questions
On Wednesday 24 July, Theresa May, took her last Prime Minister's Question time session.
In her final Prime Minister's Questions, many MPs paid tribute to Theresa May and she answered questions on her successor, modern slavery and more.
