This week in the Commons, MPs approved the supplementary estimates, setting out funding for Government departments, debated assisted dying, plastic pollution and more.
Estimates Days
On Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 July, MPs in the House of Commons held four Estimates Day debates, scrutinising the Government's proposed public spending for the following departments.
- Department for International Development
- Department for Education
- Department for Work and Pensions
- Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government
The Estimates for these, and all other departments, were ultimately approved by the House of Commons.
Urgent questions and ministerial statements
This week three urgent questions were asked:

There were four oral ministerial statements this week.

Prime Minister's Questions
On Wednesday 3 2019 MPs asked the Prime Minister about school funding, knife crime, the effect of a no-deal Brexit and more.

E-petitions debates
On Monday 1 July, in the Westminster Hall Chamber, MPs debated an e-petition on online homophobia.
Backbench business debates
On Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 July 2019 MPs took part in three general debates which had been scheduled by the Backbench Business Committee.
