Prime Minister updates MPs on EU Council meeting

Following the EU Council meeting held on 20-21 June 2019, the Prime Minister, Theresa May, updated the House of Commons on discussions which took place.
At last week's meeting the European Council adopted the EU's strategic agenda for 2019-2024 and discussed climate, disinformation, the long-term EU budget, and external relations.

The Prime Minister opened her statement by telling MPs
"The UK has always been clear that we will participate fully and constructively in all EU discussions for as long as we are a member state [...] that was the spirit in which I approached this Council."
She spoke about what was discussed, including the environment, disinformation and hybrid threats and external relations.
The Leader of the Opposition, Jeremy Corbyn responded, urging the UK and EU to do more to acknowledge and manage external relations, including in relation to the Iran nuclear deal and Moroccan border disputes. He criticised the Prime Minister's handling of Brexit, asking;
"Does the Prime Minister now regret that instead of warning of its disastrous complications, she continued to legitimise the idea of 'No Deal'."
He pressed Theresa May on whether she thought 'No Deal' or a so-called 'People's Vote' would be more harmful to the UK.
