This week in the House of Commons MPs debated TV licenses, Grenfell, Hong Kong, climate change and more.
Legislation: Government Bills
National Insurance Contributions (Termination Awards and Sporting Testimonials) Bill: remaining stages
This Bill passed its report stage and third reading in the House of Commons on Monday 10 June. The Bill will now be considered by the House of Lords.
Legislation: Private Members' Bills
Two Private Members' Bills were introduced to the House following Ten Minute Rule Motions this week:
- United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority Pension Transfers (Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman Investigation)
- Parental Leave (Premature and Sick Babies)
Urgent questions and ministerial statements
This week urgent questions were asked on:
- Urgent question on Northamptonshire serious case reviews
- Urgent question asked on the impact of the Hong Kong Extradition Bill
- Urgent question as many over-75s look set to lose free TV licences
- Urgent question as crisis in Sudan intensifies
- Ministers questioned about mother declared 'intentionally homeless'
There were four ministerial statements this week:
- James Brokenshire gives update on Grenfell Tower response
- Government statement on Ford Bridgend plant closure
- Government gives details on setting a UK net zero emissions target
- Statement on Hong Kong following violent protests
Prime Minister's Questions
In her first PMQs since standing down as Leader of the Conservative Party, Prime Minister Theresa May took questions on UK industrial strategy, Brexit and more.

Opposition day debates
On Wednesday 12 June MPs debated a Business of the House motion relating to the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union), inequality and social mobility, and discrimination in sport. The subjects for debate were chosen by the Labour Party:
