Lord Speaker's lectures: Technology and Environmental stresses in 2050 and Beyond

On Wednesday 27 February, Lord Rees of Ludlow OM gave the first talk of the year in the Lord Speaker's 2019 Lecture Series.

The talk, which was held in the Robing Room in the House of Lords, was attended by over 150 Peers, MPs, staff and external stakeholders.

Lord Rees spoke about technology and environmental stresses in 2050 and beyond and participated in a lively Q&A session following the talk.

The lecture was aired by BBC Parliament.

Upcoming lecturers this year include Director-General of the BBC, Lord Hall of Birkenhead CBE (Crossbench), on Wednesday 20 March, who will speak about the BBC and impartiality.
