Non-Domestic Rating (Preparation For Digital Services) Bill
The Non-Domestic Rating (Preparation For Digital Services) Bill had its second reading on Monday 13 May 2019.
The Bill enables the Commissioners for HMRC to incur expenditure in connection with providing digital services. These services will facilitate the administration or payment of non-domestic rates in England. Non-domestic rates, commonly called business rates, are collected by local authorities.

Urgent questions and ministerial statements

On Wednesday 15 May, MPs debated serious violence in a general debate.
Opposition day debates
On Tuesday 14 May, MPs debated prisons and probation services and health. The subjects for debate were chosen by the Official Opposition.

On Thursday 16 May, MPs debated the definition of Islamophobia and the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. The subjects for debate were chosen by the Backbench Business Committee.
