Lords debates threats to native trees

On Thursday 5 September, members of the House of Lords, including an ambassador for WWF and the shadow spokesperson for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, will debate the threats posed by pests and diseases to native trees in the UK.

This is a general debate. They normally take place on a Thursday in the chamber. During debates, members are able to put their experience to good use, discussing current issues and drawing the government's attention to concerns.
The debate was proposed by the Earl of Kinnoull (Crossbench), Barrister-at-law.

- Lord Chartres (Crossbench), ambassador for WWF
- Baroness Jones of Whitchurch (Labour), shadow spokesperson for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs
Lord Gardiner of Kimble (Conservative), parliamentary under-secretary in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, will respond on behalf of the government.
