Lords debates challenges facing charitable and voluntary sector

Members of the Lords debate the fundraising and organisational challenges faced by the charitable and voluntary sector during the Covid-19 pandemic, in a virtual session on Thursday 30 April.

Speakers include the chair of the Fundraising Regulator and a former chief executive of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations.

This is a general debate. During debates, members put their experience to good use to discuss current issues and draw the government's attention to concerns.

Lord Addington (Liberal Democrats), director, Atlas Foundation charity for disadvantaged people, put forward the debate.

Baroness Barran (Conservative), Parliamentary Under-Secretary in the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, will respond on behalf of the government.
