Lords discusses support for those living in poverty

Members of the Lords ask the government for their assessment of the number of people living in poverty, as a result of COVID-19, and what steps are being taken to support them, in a virtual session on Thursday 30 April.

Speakers include president of the Money Advice Trust and chairman of the Social Metric Commission. 

This is a Question for Short Debate. During debates, members put their experience to good use to discuss current issues and draw the government's attention to concerns.

Baroness Bennett of Manor Castle (Green Party), member of the Green European Foundation Universal Basic Income Expert Group, put forward the debate.
