Lords discusses Israeli-Palestinian peace deal

On Thursday 27 February, members will debate the United States' proposals for peace between Israelis and Palestinians announced on 28 January. Speakers expected to take part include the chair of the Jerusalem Foundation and a former council member of the Overseas Development Institute.

This is a general debate. They normally take place on a Thursday in the chamber. During debates, members are able to put their experience to good use, discussing current issues and drawing the government's attention to concerns.
The debate was proposed by Baroness Tonge (Non-affiliated), chair of Palestinian humanitarian and development organisation Welfare UK.

- Lord Leigh of Hurley (Conservative), chair of the Jerusalem Foundation
- Baroness Northover (Liberal Democrats), former council member of the Overseas Development Institute
- Lord Stone of Blackheath (Non-affiliated), governor of the Weizmann Institute, Israel
Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon (Conservative), Foreign and Commonwealth Office minister, will respond on behalf of the government.
