This week in the Commons: 10 February

This week in the Commons saw PMQS as well as urgent questions on deportations, East Kent maternity services and proposed online harms legislation. There were three statements on flood response, transport infrastructure and the coronavirus outbreak.
The Commons is now in recess and returns on 24 February.
Prime Minister's Questions
On Wednesday 12 February, MPs asked the Prime Minister about deportations, the Harry Dunn case, Syrian refugees, NHS funding and US food imports.
Urgent Questions and Statements
There was three statements on:
- Flood response by Defra Secretary, Theresa Villiers
- Transport infrastructure by the Prime Minsiter
- Coronavirus by Health Secretary, Matt Hancock
There were three urgent questions on:
- Deportation flight to Jamaica and the Windrush Lessons Learned Review from David Lammy MP
- Online harms legislation from Julian Knight MP
- Maternity care services and baby deaths at East Kent NHS Trust from Sir Roger Gale MP
Legislation
- Prisoners (Disclosure of Information About Victims) Bill 2019-20, which passed its second reading on 11 February 2020.
- Terrorist Offenders (Restriction of Early Release) Bill 2019-20. The Bill received its first, second and third reading and completed its Commons stages on 12 February 2020.
Opposition Day debates
An Opposition Day debate on migration and Scotland was led by the Scottish National Party. MPs voted against the motion put forward by 322 votes to 46 votes.
