This week there were four urgent questions and three statements.
Urgent questions:
- Alison Thewliss asked an urgent question on support and accommodation for asylum seekers during the covid-19 pandemic.
- Iain Duncan Smith asked an urgent question on the Chinese Communist Parties' Campaign to Suppress Uyghur Birth Rates in Xinjiang.
- Nick Thomas-Symonds asked an urgent question on the appointment of the National Security Adviser and other senior civil service positions.
- David Lammy asked an urgent question on the Government's implementation of the Lammy Review.
Statements:
- Matt Hancock - Covid-19 update.
- Dominic Raab - Hong Kong National Security Legislation and the UK response.
- Gavin Williamson - Autumn opening of education settings.
Legislation
On Monday 29 June, MPs approved the Business and Planning Bill.
The purpose of the Bill is to help businesses recover from the disruption caused by Covid-19.
On Tuesday 30 June, MPs approved the Immigration and Social Security Co-ordination (EU Withdrawal) Bill 2019-21.
On Wednesday 1 and Thursday 2 July, MPs debated the Finance Bill. It was approved.
